Golf
Roscommon Golf Course established in 1904 boasts to be one of the country's best 18-hole Golf Courses, with its new club house with viewing area, locker room, showers, bar and dining facilities, erected in 1996, after a fire tragically destroyed the existing one in 1995. Golf can be played most times for a modest green fee.

Fishing
The fact that County Roscommon is bounded by the River Shannon and River Suck, also some of Ireland's great lakes, found in and adjoining the county to include Lough Ree, Lough Allen, Lough Key and Lough Gara, makes this county a fisherman's paradise. Stocks of the following fish are readily available: pike, perch, bream, rudd, roach, tench, eel and trout, with boat hire available on most lakes.
